Talking WRAC

Hi all
Just googled WRAC uniforms and Homeguards photo looks to be a reverse of the original. Medal now in left side

Have been searching for a medal with a 3 stripe ribbon like that and so far the closest is a Boer War medal, which I'm pretty sure she didn't earn. I am very curious though.

The NCO with the medal, I think she is wearing the WRAC cap badge with one WRAC collar badge visible.
The medal - Queens Silver Jubilee?
Possibly worn on the right breast as it's that of a family member?
Was that practise in vogue amongst serving military rather than just by next of kin at Remembrance Sunday etc back then during the days of the WRAC?

I did some more looking and feel pretty sure it is the Queen's Silver Jubilee medal. In enlarging the picture after seeing he medal ribbon, I can see the thinner outside black stripes.



So wearing it on the right side means it is a relative's medal, and she is allowed to wear it?
