India and South Africa are printed sections of the form and as there is nothing hand written against them, he almost certainly did not serve in either country.

It seems to have been standard practice to include these stations on Regular Army enlistment forms forms. I am not sure if all enlistment forms were the same though. The Short Service and T.F. enlistment forms probably don't mention them but I will have to check.

That’s just part of the printed part of the form, everyone with that page has that there. It’s not something that was entered when filling in the form. Not relevant to Charles Hell?
