Default Unknown uniform - help please!

I am assuming that this uniform i British, but I may be wrong. Can anyone assist me in identifying it? Is it British and if so, what regiment? The photograph was taken 1908.

Doesn't look British to me - a crop of a mixed uniform / nationalities group?
Others in the photo may assist in identification of the uniform in question.

I think he is Royal Netherlands East Indies Army (KNIL)

And I think that the uniform behind the man also looks Dutch.

Likewise for the part of the kolbak (busby) shown in front.
