Most buttons with backmark Firmins, London in my own collection date from the last quarter of the 19th century.
Both a German (F.L) and a French manufacturer (T.W.&W. / Coinderoux) supplied buttons to Buenos-Aires based firms A.B. and J.G.
Most likely your button is the older one, possibly dating from the initial order in 1875.
