Hi

Yes probably a good one. The thing with Victorian cap badges is that they werent introduced till Circa 1896 and have to have lugs as the slider didn't come into use till Circa 1906, also the back of the badge needs to be well struck and defined. Check the lug where it is attached to the body of the badge, it needs to be a clean join and not have "feet" that protrude out side ways.

Regards

Phil.

Repro.
Artificially aged.
Rounded font on the title.
No braising holes (Victorian badges should have them)
Modern lugs, poorly attached.

Certainly not in any way whatsoever a good one, it's appalling that these are offered as original when they are clearly not.
Regarding lugs, those on many original Cavalry cap badges do have "feet" even if they cannot actually be seen.
