Default Wartime SAS Shoulder titles

Can anyone point me in the direction of photos showing these shoulder titles being worn on battledress in WW2. An online search of the IWM photo collection has not yielded any results.

Default SAS titles

Jon,

There are really plenty of pictures. See some pictures from my photo collection.

Also, check Gavin Mortimer's excellent book 'The SAS in WW2'.

Cheers,

Johan

Default Norway

Jon,

That picture was taken in the summer of 1945 on arrival at Stavanger Airport in Norway, to disarm the German Army there.

On the right is Major Roy Farran of 2nd SAS.

Cheers,

Johan

hi Tim,

I do not know that. He is wearing a Pegasus flash, so I think he belongs to the British 1st Airborne Division, also taking part in Operation Doomsday.

Cheers,

Johan

Can't find his name at the moment, but I seem to recall he is from SAS HQ? Above the pegasus he wears SAS wings. Wasn't the SAS supposed to wear the Pegasus flash anyway, being part of the Airborne forces?
