The rounded lettering on the front and the slider for me are wrong for me, interesting to see the raised mm on the back, but then what do I know.

Magpie, as a corvid you are an intelligent bird. Not having boned up on the badge the maker mark would make me wonder if it was good- but I also associate that font with dodgy badges. Regards, Paul.

If you search on the forum you will see examples of this officers' badge with lugs. The sans-serif numeral 4 is distinctive.

The slider and the blotchy patina makes me suspicious about it.
