Default Seahorse ??? - Salamander ??? Badge

Hi
Can anyone help identify this badge? I bought it in a mixed lot a few years ago with some Royal Marines badges and haven't traced it. I am not even certain that it is military, but it does look British made and of WW2 vintage to me
Thanks
John

Didn't a RM training unit use a Seahorse in its badge? And I think the logistics regiment does too. No idea if this style is anything to do with them though.

Have now discovered these were worn by the tour guides on HMS Belfast, the IWM have a great example of the ‘officers’ version.
