The badge is post 1945 (small central lion head) and could have been worn by Bandsman , Standard Bearers or Parking/Security staff.
I have a Gaunt MM (curved JR Gaunt over London) badge which has 'B' and a four figure number stamped on the slider to indicate Bandsman , a Gaunt MM (J.R. GAUNT LONDON - on one line) and an unmarked one. There are also versions with 2 E/W loops which have an 'H' and four figure number which indicates that it was a hat/cap badge. I think the unmarked badges were the "generic" version which could have been used by any of the above groups. https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...48&postcount=7 .
