Default Lincolnshire Home Guard Imp ~ Help Please

I've been told that there are two versions of the Imp patch, one being WWII and the other being post-war.

Can anybody tell me which this is please?

Many thanks

Martin

Default Lincs Imp

Martin,

Like you, I've heard of a supposed difference but I cannot say I've detected something specific. I've seen printed Imps in varying shades but I put this down to being caused by washing or manufacture, not a specific change of design.

There was a post-war green silk woven version that was produced for the ACF. I've never seen one but it was mentioned in The Formation Sign No124. The trouble with this one is it could also be a Girl Guide badge.

I look forward to somebody providing evidence backed confirmation.

Stephen.
