All the other items were Som LI related except for a matched pair
of these badges
they have been on a uniform at some point

Picked up one of these years ago, had me foxed for quite a while. There's a nice photo of a member of the AMDC on the front cover of one of the wartime mags, "War Illustrated" or similar' an RASC maritime man I think, sitting on the steps of a vehicle, showing a model boat to some children, I had the badge filed with a copy of the cover until a few months ago when I filed cloth badges in archive quality plastic pockets.

My "AMDC" badge & "The War Illustrated " cover" - issue no. 244 of October 1945:

"INTERESTING THE RISING GENERATION, a member of the Royal Army Service Corps with the aid of a model cargo-ship explains the wide activities of his Corps in the Army of today. The occasion was the visit to Hounslow, Middlesex, on September 17, 1946, of the Army Mechanical Demonstration Column on a three-week tour of the London District. The Column formed part of a nation-wide campaign to secure 100.000 recruits for the new Army by the end of March 1947."
