Default IoM QC HG Looks Good???

I stumbled upon this one this morning and from what I have been reading about the Isle of Man QC HG and the "C" looking more like a "G" this one looks like a good one. Interested in what others think.

Simon, I guess what you are telling me is there are more like it, and that it is a fake? I was not planning to get it, but was curious about it as an example of what a good one might look like.

Sorry no, the link you provided didn't work for me so I added the link again, believe it is the same badge, will let the experts advise you on its authenticity.

It is a fairly common badge even though it was only worn for a short period in the mid 1950s.

A reproduction with the die flaw on the C.

99.999% of these badges are restrikes.

See this thread, https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...sle+home+guard post #5 may be of some assistance discerning the more obvious bad ones.

Also avoid any marked J.R.GAUNT B’HAM as these are repros.
