I believe this wartime picture shows the BP badge being worn.

You can see the asymmetrical crown particularly how it splays out to the viewers right, the chunky wide bottom half of the badge too.

Next to this an example of different and better quality die/badge often found with rectangular braze holes to highlight the differences.
