Which has me wondering what happened to this one? Which is an abused/abraded collar badge possibly worn in a beret or side hat?

Gentlemen

... please see here :- https://www.paoyeomanry.org.uk/DenbighYeo372.htm

The cap badge was never issued from HQ stores. (Confirmed, June 2021, by a Flint TA Store man that served in the late 1960s). The RA cap badge was worn.

The Prestatyn TA centre is still standing although not used by the TA, it has a tower at one end with a RA badge on one side and a REME badge on another.

Edwards book records that the collars were worn with the RA cap badge. they may not have done for the entire period but he clearly thought they did at one time.

Well clearly the cap badge was made, but not actually issued - makes it quite an interesting piece and certainly explains their scarcity.

Regards all
