Question Gaunt makers marks

I have some 1946 - 1972 badges with Gaunt marked sliders. They are British Legion QVC badges used by Bandsmen/Standard Bearers/Security or Parking.

Q 1 : Is there any way to date the period each mark was used ?

Q 2 : Apart from greed is there any reason the two white metal/chrome Bandsmaster badges would be priced differently , one is £60.00 and the other £10.00 ?

NB : the slider with the 'B' prefix is for a Bandsman.

I went to B'ham Library about ten years to look up Gaunt details: However I was looking for army badges rather than "Bandsmen/Standard Bearers/Security or Parking."
There was archives in Bham Museum (you need to get an appointment) Ditto - NAM (London)
I think there was a "catalogue" of everything - with Gaunt marks....

Thanks , I was hoping there may have been some tie-in with when (if ?) the various marks appeared on military badges which might indicate a decade.

I also have two more QVC badges (bandmaster and bandsman) with unmarked sliders , which due to the size of the British Legion badge and how it is attached , also fit into the 1946 - 1972 time period.

Will keep searching and see if I can find out any more information.

The 2nd mark ,the straight J.R Gaunt London was used on anodised badges. The guestimation was that it was around 1950 to around 1968.
