Default List of individuals referenced in Cumberland and Westmorland Herald throughout WW1

I stumbled across this and thought it may be of interest to someone - hence the post! There is a list produced, seemingly, by the Cumberland and Westmorland Herald outlining all references to individuals from Cumbria and the Lake District who appeared in the paper over the duration of the WW1. It's 33 pages long and can be downloaded here. It has the reference to which paper, page and even column the individual is mentioned in.

In what way can an article be seen? On the paper website I notice it mentions a range only of 20 years that can be searched. Regards, Paul.

The web search function does seem to only go back to 2002, beyond that I would guess its an email to the paper asking where you can access a full archive? Possibly in a local library (if they still exist) - and I see that the list /index is listed on the Penrith library front page, so I would suggest they would be first port of call
