Default c1900 Rank Crown (Staff Sgt Type)

Hi All

Does anyone have a spare c1900 gilding metal rank crown (die stamped) knocking about their spares box? Size approx 2cm x 2cm...... it must look exactly like the one below

The crown will be used to repair a period cap badge

Hi Griff,
I've got plenty of the larger types but only one like the one you have pictured. Sorry.
Cheers, Tinto

I have spare a QVC rank crown if you'd like it. I'll try and find it to measure, scan etc.

Hi Julian

LOL!...... I have got your blood up again with the century thing (Sorry)

The period of King Edward VII's reign circa 1902-08, gilding metal die stamped rank crown as seen above, approx 2cm x 2cm. The type that Staff Sgts wore above their chevrons.

It has to be exactly as the one above

this pattern crown was worn throughout the period 1901 to post 1952... I'm sure we've been down this road before with your theories on RD badges, but there was NO difference in the King's or imperial crown on change over of monarchs, just makers variations!

Hi Griff, and others,
I think the crown you need is as the one on the right in this picture. It measures 2x2cm and has lugs E-W.
Hope this helps to get you the right badge.
Cheers, Tinto

Hi Tinto

The image below shows the particular "makers varient" crown I am after front and back, also showing the crown I need to replace because of the damage to the orb.
