Default Herefordshire Regt collar badge

I would be most grateful for any opinions and insights on the attached Herefords collar badge.

Is this one genuine?

When was the white metal version in use?

Any help appreciated!

The Herefordshire Regiment was renamed the Herefordshire Light Infantry in 1947 and I beiieve that is when the collar badges changed to the all-white metal version so as to complement the newly designed white metal cap badge. It looks genuine enough to me.
