An old, proper penny presumably -apart from being inconveniently smaller, would a new penny work easily, being made plated steel nowadays?

Presumably these badges will be faked to death, just like so many others have already, one day

Their prices are going up and up on ebay.

On second thoughts going back to the notoriously clumsy thing I might give it a miss. It's starting to sound a bit dangerous!

Smile

Hi

I have some success but also a few disasters with badge findings (AND I can lay claim to a bit of skill in the Repair and Restore Dept. )
Small jeweller's pliers are ESSENTIAL for this..........plus a bit of luck.
To clean your brooch, get a soft brass brush from the same jeweller's supplies place that you got the pliers and gently brush with dish washing liquid (Fairy Liquid for those in the UK....)
Warm water also helps.

Smile Spitfire badge(s)

Anyone want a GENUINE wartime bronze handcrafted Spitfire badge? I have two and can live without one (or both). I don't live in the UK and they were both picked up years ago.

Either PM me or I may list in the "For Sale" section.
