"Badged" Second World War helmets
On a FB page, attention was drawn to a some Canadian helmets with Second World War badges affixed. This is something I have not seen until these were posted. Regulations prohibited this practice. Their existence raises many many questions. The second and third helmets were NNSH, with the badge attached with what appears to be crude rivets. I don't have links to them. And another helmet to the Sherbrooke Fusiliers with a badge fastened in a similar way was also shown. All of these were new to me.
Here is the FB page for those interested. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2246528180/?fref=nf A link to the auction for one, http://www.ebay.com/itm/321700770875...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT.
