I’m going to start posting up my collection, please feel free to use images (or not) as required for your project. There may be duplication of others’ efforts, I make no apology for that, I need to scan them all prior to disposal anyway. I’m also unsure as to whether you’ll cover crap/jungle/desert/arctic etc. hat badges and helmet flashes as Ian Kelly’s guide did, there are a couple here, but if you let me know yea or nay I’ll include them (or not) in future posts.

First batch: 16th/5th Queen’s Royal Lancers: beret badge [IGK8B]; later beret badge [IGK8C]; desert hat badge, Gulf issue [IGK5D].

Fantastic imagaes mate, thanks. There are lots I can use there. I will be includingcrap hats, jungle hats, helmets etc as there have been loads of these produced in recent years.

I'm up to about 80 images at the moment and am most grateful to thoe who have sent emails or added pics to include in the brochure.

Perhaps once it starts to get going, that badge backings may also be included?

'Badge Backings & Special Embelishments of the British Army' also lists some cloth badges as well as badge backings as to colour but not shape etc.

Hi Graham, I know what you mean about things going AWOL! My RAOC beret with bullion badge went missing over rememberance week, and decided to surface on the 12th LoL good job I had a contact for a spare.
