Default Arab Multinational Force?

I ppurchased this badge after the firstGulf war, buying it , complete with beret, at a Leeds Arms Fair. No-one had any idea what it was/is, but I thought it might be a multinational unit from Arab countries.

It is a two-part badge, in brass and enamel. looks to be made in the U.S.A., since it has a single, cantral screw fastening and a locating pin at the (S) position. The badge is 40mm in diameter.

Since buying the badge, I have seen no written or pictorial reference to such a unit and I wondered if any fellow-member could throw any light on this one? Anybody come across it before?

Nice badge.

I have no idea what it might be but wonder why the PDRY - Yemen - is highlighted, or should that be lowlighted? Maybe there are variations with the other countries marked out.

Again probably not much help but what colour was the beret?

I've just realised this is the badge of the Gulf Cooperation Council. This Yemen is not highlighted but in fact excluded. Not sure if they have ever fielded a military force?

Ah yes - See: http://stinet.dtic.mil/oai/oai?verb=...fier=ADA378521
