Default Printed Shoulder titles

With regard to the recent excellent thread on shoulder titles both printed and embroidered it set me thinking as to photograph of my Father taken around 1945/46 in his battledress, this is not currently available for reproducing at present.

He has his three stripes with a brass fusilier grenade above which I understand was worn in some units to verify rank, there is no sign of a shoulder title printed or embroidered only 13 Corps formation signs.

Whilst I know the 8th Army had been abroad for a long while I would have thought by this time shoulder titles would have reached them or were they just issued to personnel serving in Western Europe?

Thoughts please
