FSC = small badge.

Peaked cap post 1905 = large badge.

The same large badge with out the title is for the militia battalion which was not in the Boer War. They did not all qualify for the award.

The two SA Honour badges are large, a full sized version of the fsc.

I still wonder why they have two different full sized SA Honour ones though? I probably wasn't clear but I was putting it out there that the large whitemetal one (and matching fsc) are actually Tower Hamlets Rifles 1905-08 prior to becoming the 17th London.

The Tower Hamlets RV were huge yet in all the auctions and catalogues I've yet to see a cap badge attributed to them. I presume they wore the little Tower of London collar badge in an fsc but even then I've never seen a photo as evidence.

I see where you are coming from now. I agree that the badge in post 1 is equally likely to be the THR RV (17th London) rather than militia.
The dearth of photos makes it hard to be sure.

Many thanks Keith, much appreciated for confirming the Aging Grey Cells are working still.
