Default Gilt Sussex Yeomanry Cap Badge

Hi All,

I'm looking for opinions on whether or not this is a genuine badge. I do have a view, but welcome others' thoughts.

If it is, I may offer it for sale and if not, I obviously won't!

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

Pete

It is a fake from the Martin Marsh catalogue die.

Note the ‘ducks’ and the typically fake rounded letter ends. Here is another with a fake makers / outfitters mark on the slider Henry Slingsby Ltd Nuneaton.

Thanks Luke,

Yes, agreed. It's also on extra long footed lugs which are located vertically and not horizontally and I've not seen a genuine one with this lug placement/ configuration (although that doesn't mean one isn't out there somewhere!).

Kind Regards,

Pete
