Hi interesting thread. This a photo of Major later Lt Colonel Sanderson Royal Hampshire Regiment who was the Admin Officer for 2 Wessex in 1974. He is wearing Collar Badges. Not sure which Battalion he was with though.

York and Lancaster Regiment collar badges and possibly Prince of Wales’s Own Regiment of Yorkshire buttons?

165827 Lt Col John Burden Sanderson transferred from the York and Lancaster Regiment to the Prince of Wales’s Own Regiment on 14/12/1968.

He was promoted Lt Col on 01/08/1964 and had earlier served in the Loyal Regiment and the Durham Light Infantry

On 06/08/1971 he was appointed to the Special List and retired on 17/01/1974

He reverted to to the rank of Major to serve with 2 Wessex and retired again in 1984
