What were Craigs concerns?

I have however seen quite a few visually perfect fakes of NZ Volunteer badges, the only thing that lets them down is they are half the weight when compared to an original and have a rough finish when you stroke the back of the badge with your finger, instead of a smooth finish that you would expect from a die stamped badge.

''This badge is a recent copy .Give aways are wrong colour of metal, poor definition in the scroll near the letter ''s'' and this is not the Gaunt die .Many of these fakes also have the Gaunt tablets attached .The fakers have addressed earlier faults in these fakes''

I was more concerned about the $200 reserve ,for a $85-$95 badge

I did notice the definition in the scroll near the letter ''s'' and to me the badge is just bent slightly distorting the "S," possibly done when it was stored at the bottom of the owners kit bag.

A genuine badge for sure but I agree not worth $200
