It's nothingt o do with Geography but all to do with where the Regt draws its Officers from. How many Welsh Officers have you met in the QDG?

The Cori Tap is about 100m from my house. It's a very dangerous place (for those who don't know, it is a famous cider pub in Clifton).

From what the OC said, they at some point in the recent past had a QRL attachment who sorted it for them.

[QUOTE=Alan O;I suspect that no Direct Entry QRL officer has ever come from the Midlands!
Alan[/QUOTE] Why not? Their regimental museum is at Belvoir Castle, in Leicestershire. There are rather a lot of aristocratic families in the area, including the Duke of Rutland who, as far as I know, still lives at Belvoir. Or am I missing the point? Cheers William |

The museum has recently moved to Thoresby not far from Worksop/Ollerton in Nottinghamshire (and a very good museum it is too).
Should take OC14 about 10 minutes to walk there from his house! http://www.qrlnymuseum.co.uk/qrl.htm |

12 is a hybrid, the metal QOGTR has been added to a GTR star.
8,9,11 and 15 appear for sale regularly- £100 ish 7 and 13 are about ,the I corps more so. The RPC is weak in the crown area. The rest well pick a price. Last edited by Mike H; 04-12-22 at 07:16 AM. |

AA - The Rarities
An illustrated table of the AA Rarities, using information and images gleaned from this thread and one or two other pages on the Brit & Commonwealth badges website.
Hopefully all images are correctly attributed; many apologies if this is not the case, the credits will of course be altered as required if they are not correct. No claims are made about the authenticity or origin of any of these badges. Prices shown are from research, they do not reflect the price anyone may have paid at any other time or place. Best regards to all. William |

There is one that should be on there. The 10th Gurkha Rifles hat badge,it's in the Haggy book I believe. Non void across the Bell and 2 long lugs at the rear. There is a sealed pattern in the IWM collection. A rare badge that you don't see often if at all .
