Default RAF Officer’s cap badge

Hi can I get verification on this badge please?

There are a lot of aged badges on Ebay and do not wish this to be one, about the badge it has a few threads but only a few? It has a washed out used look but no visible stitching?
On the Crown Jewels are :- Red/Green/Blue/Green/Red, this denotes an early badge?

All the best Billy

Thanks Steve, I was looking at a site last week which makes and ages RAF, RN badges and they looked good, if you didn’t know what to look for, but he did list as Reproductions in fairness, the Washed out Red in Crown being one of the obvious things to see on them, which this badge I have has also though it also has Jewels, all the best Billy

I do not think that does denote an early badge.

Good Morning Frank, the Colour of the Jewels, sequencing I was informed dated early period RAF Badges, since have been informed it was up to individual Tailor who made the badge and that is lots of individual badges, also shape/angle of Palm Fronds dates early badges and foreign made badges, from WW2 badges?

I’m just glad it’s real but would love to see a clear way to tell an early badge transitioning through to Modern on British set alongside :- Canadian made, Australian made, and South African made badges.

Australian made Fronds are straight but angled up at steep angle? All the best Billy
