City of London, but what is it.
Hello all,
Due to long term non Covid health problems, I’m currently catching up on months and months of cataloguing my collection. I’m struggling with this one. The shield makes me think that it’s something to do with the City of London but I’ve been all of the way through Gaylor with no joy and I can’t seem to find it in K&K either. Does anyone recognise it please? Cheers Steve

It looks like it’s a London Rifle Brigade Field Service Cap badge according the the thread linked below.
I’m not sure whether yours is genuine or a restrike, though. https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...n+Rifle+collar

1st City of London Rifle Volunteer Brigade, field service cap badge, for officers, NCOs and men, and dates (if memory serves) circa 1893.

Great, thanks very much for your replies. I know where it fits in my catalogue now!
