Default royal regiment of Wales

Following on from a recent post on H M S silver gilt badges ,posted an example of the R R W in my album and gallery I have this marked down as an oddity only 1 that I have seen Maker A& C or S date for London 1991 Uncertain when this would have been worn /if it was . Purchased from Marlow a number of years ago in a collection of R R W
I also have a silver gilt H M S to the Queens regiment in my album

I served with the RRW in the mid 90’s and can’t recall the option of a S H M badge but as I was attached from another Infantry regiment perhaps that option was not offered.

Kevin your is a better example than mine [cover of my album] Also the lugs on mine are N/S ,all my other R R W badges are E/W as your example Dave's is broached wondering if was made as a sweet heart broach for high ranking officer as I can't see any reason for it to be broached
Both nice badges

David,
Like you I cannot see the reason for Dave’s example being broached, or what it may have been worn on if it was for headress. Are we sure he hasn’t been messing around with his mig welder?

I have a.bit of a query regarding this.
I thought that RRW Officers wore a bullion cloth badge in the No1 cap . Would an Officer wear a HM silver cap badge in a service dress cap ?
