Default Essex Army Cadet Force beret badge

Essex Army Cadet Force beret badge in gold anodised with two prongs/blades.

A small badge (24mm x 22mm) apparently procured ‘unofficially’ by an ACF officer and worn briefly in the 1970s. May have been subsequently used as a lapel badge.

The right hand badge is a Derbyshire Constabulary collar badge.

The Essex ACF badge was worn circa 1971 - 1975 then promptly discarded. It was unofficial and it seems unpopular with the troops too.

it can be found with two types of fitting.

There is also a 'tinsel' type embroidered badge worn by the adult staff at County HQ at the same time (uncertain if worn by the Company officers and AIs as well).
