Default Kangol beret manufacture question

I just finished reading the post submitted by ASR142 "WWII BRITISH BERETS TRAITS AND CONSTRUCTION" and have a few questions, perhaps someone can help answer.

In the post, it was stated and shown that a radial stitch pattern is visible on the top of Kangol berets.
Is it always the case ? I have and have seen several authentic Kangol berets where this was not apparent...
