Default Unknown 1911 Military? Band Competition or trade badge?

I have had this for years, Unknown 1911 Dated Band Competition Or trade badge?

It has a Royal crown which implies military use but I have not seen another.
Hoping some one has information on this.

Regards to all

Stephen

A possible connection is that the coronation of King George Vth was on 22 June 1911.

Perhaps a band formed in that year or a commemorative item for that event?

Could well have to do with the Festival of Empire held to celebrate the Coronation of King George V as mentioned by grey-green-acorn

There was The Pageant of London :

"Music was provided for The Pageant of London by 20 composers including Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gustav Holst, Frank Bridge, Cecil Forsyth, Henry Balfour Gardiner, Edward German and Haydn Wood. This was performed by a military band of 50 players and a chorus of 500 voices, directed by W.H. Bell.

Festival of the Empire
