British made AXIS Glider badge?
Need help on this one..it appears to be either Italian or German Glider badge but made by a English aviation badge manufacture .Can ANYONE help with this

It appears to be German Glider related I believe Civilian

I was thinking it might have something to do with the ATC as I think one of their gliding levels has two gliders on it, although I don't know what ZS stands for.

If you go here: http://www.scottishglidingcentre.co.uk/badge_system.htm you'll see this pattern of badge is current although what the letters mean I have no idea. If you google "international glider badge" you'll see many variants.

zs is the international reg code for South Africa on all civilian aircraft

Its a glider qualification badge for ATC and CCF RAF units. Certainly worn from the mid 1960s
