Default RFC Observer wing - genuine?

I'll be grateful for opinions on whether this RFC(?) observer wing is genuine or not.

Cheers,

Jon

Default RFC etc.

I would like to endorse Peter's remarks - the wing looks OK to me too. The copies usually get the proportions of the Observer's wing quite wrong - it is quite a unique balance of wing and O - when you have seen enough originals, you will immediately know a fake. The photograph also suggests that this one is in pretty good condition - a very desirable find ! Regards. David

Peter & David,

Many thanks for your opinions. The condition is pretty good - just a small moth hole in the "O" about 1mm accross. As a matter of interest, what's the approximate market value?

Regards,

Jon

Default RFC etc.

I know Peter will have his view on price. Mine would be based upon a 'wants' list I have from a client who is prepared to pay up to 40.00GBP for Observers wing and up to 80.00GBP for pilot's wings. Sounds about right to me. Regards. David

David,

Many thanks for the price info. It's of academic interest only, as I'm going to hang on to it, partly because I like it and partly as a reminder of an all too rare car boot bargain.

Regards,

Jon
