NewFoundland Regiment Cap Badge...
A recent acquisition, I was going to list this as a collar, due to the size (35 x 29 mm) then I saw Peter 616's brooch doing quite well,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT so I did a little research! Appears to be a Gilding metal cap badge, 1914-18 pattern (Cox Pg.137 1068). A nice little find! Does anyone know its value (not for sale), as I've not seen a genuine example for sale before? Andy |

Hello Andy, The Newfoundland Regiment BEF wore this badge as a cap and collar. (The reverse collar is extremely scarce, and seldom seen.)
The badge has been realizing well over $100, and in some cases far more.
