Hi, I have an IAC badge like the first pattern RAC badge. Does anyone know if they were made in brass, bronze and white metal like the later mailed fist IAC? Also one of my white metal mailed fist IAC's, a much superior manufacture, has a very vague manufacturer's imprint on the wrist. there may also be an even vaguer one on the bronze. Does anyone know what the manufacturer would be? It doesn't look like any of the English manufacturer's marks.

Johnson of Aligarh (c100 miles south of Jaipur) made lots of badges around 2WW period; indeed I heard someone refer to the firm as the "Gaunt of India".

Sorry....wrong location! It is the "Aligarh U.P." (as stamped on the reverse of a badge) = "United Provinces" then, but "Uttar Pradesh" now, in the vicinity of Agra.
