Help with two badges please.
1. The East Surrey looks like a staybrite but in fact it is all metal. A three piece badge which weighs far more than a normal bi metal badge. Is it a official issue or one from a collector's set?
2. Bought this badge as it looked interesting and was £2.20. I think it might be Lithuanian but somebody here may know better? Thanks. John |

East Surrey looks very much like Birmingham mint to me with those pins.
Second badge I initially thought may be Polish from the shape and fixing but it may well be Lithuanian. I’m sure someone on here will know for sure. |

Thanks all for the swift replies, mysteries solved!! The Latvian badge shown says 20mm x 20mm, so perhaps a miniature? Mine is 35mm x 35mm.

Looking at photos on Google there seem to be two sizes , all the larger ones appear to be numbered. There are also hallmarked silver ones.
Found another on same site that is 36mm x 36mm. https://www.vitber.com/en/lot/27386 .

Mine is actually 34mm, numbered but I don't think it is silver. Assumed the words on the cross were battle honours but a google translation says Gods Tevia Troop or Regiment. 1919 was the year of Latvian Independence from Russia I believe.
