A couple of questions
Dear forum,
Picked this lot up yesterday the RAF eagle is facing left and unusual back plate on pinched loops any suggestions please, (thinking Pathfinder or early cuff badge) No idea what the eagle and wreath cap badge is,very well made heavy construction and gilded. (Arabian or African?) White metal rose on screws back is this a top of a cavalry helmet plume? Regards Stephen Last edited by yorkstone; 15-05-22 at 08:55 AM. |

Hi Stephen
I think the RAF eagle would be worn on the sleeve above the rank chevrons, and hence in facing pairs. I'd say the eagle and wreath is from Nigeria as I have seen badges from Nigeria with the same pose. All the best Graham

I think the white metal rose may be a police helmet fitting.
