"Wings For Britain" also had a 'Benevolent Fund' to "help the widows and families of our airmen".

600 SQUADRON’S TWO BADGES

No. 600 is the only squadron in the RAF/RAuxAF to have two official badges.
The one featuring the City of London crest is called “The Dustcart Crest” as the City badge is found on all vehicles operated by the Corporation of The City of London.

Mike, the more I read your posts, the more I am fascinated by your ability to answer so many of the member’s questions with factual evidence.
Your attention to detail in so many areas outside of “Poppy Pins” is truly remarkable. Your research seems flawless and is certainly worthy of note and must surely be of great use to many of us on this great site. I class you as a mentor, an inspiration to new collectors and a great contributor with your timely and knowledgeable posts.
PS, I was going to post this as a PM, but I think the the forum would agree that a public announcement is more deserving! Thank you. David J. In Canada.

I think your De Havilland badge is the 20 year club and presented in 1959 to mark the occasion like this one I got with a few blue streak drawings.

Greetings.

The City of London 600 Squadron badge is probably a sweetheart for this particular squadron, which was a Reserve Squadron, formed in 1925 and in WW2 operated as a night fighter squadron.

Full details are on Wikipedia.

Regards.
Brian
