Default Modern Parachute Regiment cap badge maker marked ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’

Parachute Regiment cap badge in silver anodised aluminium with two lugs and maker marked LB&B MADE IN ENGLAND behind the crown.

For comparison a slidered badge maker marked LONDON BADGE & BUTTON CO LTD

The only other modern badge with a similar mark seen is a Green Howards officers cap badge in new metal with two long lugs.

Jerry,
Thanks. I wonder if the two lug versions (by all makers) of the Parachute Regiment cap badge were introduced at the request of the regiment as being more suitable for wear on the beret?
There is a risk that perhaps we read too much into the placing of makers marks on anodised and recent issue badges. At the factory production level it is probably of limited significance. Of course since 2012 the MOD contract specifications state that no makers details are to be placed on badges or packaging.

Tim, I sort of assume that the shorter mm is better for the lugged badge, but if the direction of stamping of the slider version is significant I could doubt it.

Mike, what date is this, I assume this mark is late AA period or modern metal? I see the modern metal badge looks very similar, though different metal to this one?

there is the same mark on a liverpool scottish new metal badge from the 90's in Chris's new metal book p146 and closeup of the mark on p15

It must be pre 2007 as they were amalgamated then. Id presume some time after 1990.
