Northamptonshire Regiment Brass Shoulder Titles
Can anyone tell me which version of brass shoulder title was used in the Great War. I have the "horseshoe" version that reads "Northamptonshire" but have also seen just "Northampton" ones as well. Was the shorter one an economy measure? Were both used concurrently or are they from distinct periods. I have ancestors who were in both the 1st and 2nd battalions so I would like to have my uniform as accurate as possible.
