Default Black Watch, New Addition.

Hello Chaps,

I've just added a post 1934 Black Watch badge to the KC Officers collection, this has made it necessary to rearrange things a bit, and shock, horror!!! I've made another gap. I wasn't actually planning on having any of the "Royal" Hampshire badges, but now, I guess that I'll just have to get one.

Moving stuff around to make room for the BW badge created another gap as mentioned previously. So, the search was on for a Royal Hampshire badge to fill this gap, and as I had discovered some months back, these are a bit thin on the ground. The Hampshires became Royal in 1946 but it seems that the new badge was not introduced until 1949, and it proved to be rather short lived, of course.

I would have liked to find another silver/gilt/enamel version, as they are quite posh looking, sadly though, although there's loads of QCs, no sign of a KC anywhere. I've just had to settle for another OSD, which my local postperson has just delivered, this will, at least, fill the gap quite nicely.
