The Auxiliary Units have been recently discussed in the home front section of this forum, the badge in your link is completely spurious and should fool no one who has troubled their backside to do a little research.

Yes, the seller name did set off alarms. Plus the badge has a modern construction to it.


However, he may be listing it honestly - "New old stock" from yesterday!!!

I honestly don't know how people buy this, regardless of seller, it looks modern! Even the seller covers themselves with the new old stock bit which is subjective so covers a myriad of possibilities.
It doesn't look 80 years old, not constructed in the manner of an 80 year old item, not enamelled as an old item should be....in many ways I find it hard to blame a seller when the people buying can't look online for some pointers, even googling the badge takes you to places that discuss the authenticity of these.
