Airborne Shoulder Titles
Hello
Are these considered WW2 period printed shoulder titles? They’re black on the reverse similar to the printed regimental shoulder titles but I’ve not seen them previously. Your opinions are very much appreciated Regards ccfc |

Not personally a fan but these are in Ollie's book and some people claim they are period items.

Certainly not produced by the Calico Printers Association who supplied all printed ordnance insignia during WW2 and after. Oliver mentions these could have been provided for private purchase. I'm sceptical because of their poor quality. It would be good to see evidence that they've ever been worn.

These show little detail and poor workmanship, I'm not a huge fan.
Also, only printed airborne titles and Pegasus formation signs are known to be produced like this, unlike Calico printers and other known manufacturers that made many different insignia. |
