RA gun badge, Shuttle Cambridge maker

I have a RA KC gun badge. Makers mark, SUTTLE CAMBRIDGE What is the era of this badge please? Many thanks Chris |

So WW1, if the write up is to go by, however, if they made WW2 arm of Service strips, could they have continued to make cap badges? Chris |

Indeed, did they actually make badges or were they subcontracted out to others? The sliders look like F. Narborough.

From an article about Cambridge in WW1 :

Thank you for all the interesting information chaps.
Nice to know it's a WW1 badge. Subcontracting sounds like the way they did it, and it does look like an F.N slider CB, however the badge itself looks well made, FN didn't make the neatest of badges. Cheers all Chris |
