Default London Irish Rifles

Do the London Irish Rifles still wear a "cap badge" or do they simply wear the caubeen and caubeen style badge and no longer wear caps in dress uniforms.

The attached picture being listed as a "Cap Badge" to the London Rifles, similar in design and size the the common KC version worn with the cap.

LIR wear the Caubeen and badge in all orders of dress. The badge you show and a cracking one was for a beret that sadly never came to fruition. Caubeens are more expensive and a beret would be a good choice for field dress. May be that the beret is pulled right and LIR wear Caubeens pulled left was an issue.

London Irish Beret Badge in new metal NSN 8455-99-189-4841 apparently worn by a deployed TA Company (or more likely individuals) on OP TELIC
