Neil, I don't see any problem with them, except maybe he second ATS badge that has some solid areas instead of being cut out. Have never seen anything like that before, so can't say about it.

Bottom line, some very nice badges.

Neil,

Your UTP badge is a fake. The first give away is the distance from the sword hilt to the letter "U". There are other more subtle things wrong with it too. Sadly, these fakes turn up regularly on eBay and I would bet there are probably close to a dozen right now.

Here's a good UTP badge to compare yours with

Expect to pay around 100GBP for a real one.

War Service

1914 - Good

1915 - Good : K Series was the first series of this badge (last series was Z) , Wooley were the only manufacturer to routinely stamp the issue number directly on the badge rather than on the fitting. There is also an enamelled version of this badge.

1916 - Good : These badges usually have sharp corners but some were modified to have round corners (probably for safety reasons). There is ongoing discussion whether some were manufactured this way.

Munitions Volunteer

Good : There is also an enamelled version of this badge.

Check out my album for examples.

Yep Mark, and I believe it was you I got it from via eBay. Proud to have that one!!! If not, sorry to have used your picture as I thought it was a picture I took as I try to use a white background for single or a few badges.
