Default unknown pouch badge

hi all
any idea what this badge is?
white metal (45mm), two screw fittings on reverse (a sporran or pouch badge?, maybe Scottish related?

thanks guys,
there's been suggestions that they are Waratah flowers? which may make it NSW Australian? but not identified in any australian reference i know of

Thistle , Shamrock and Waratah just doesn't seem right.

Still no definitive ID.
I know Waratahs don't sound right to everyone outside of Australia however if in Australia especially NSW they do make sense

The C&T one, which also had a waist belt clasp in the lot, hammered for £140.

Sorry don't have the prices realised for the early Bosley sales.

For what its worth I think the PBP in the opening post is a generic one probably used by many RVC's without their own insignia and is not unique to the 46th MRVC.

Auction houses often give an unknown generic badge an attributation as it sells better.
